In these updates, we keep you informed with all the latest news from Ambient, explain how we’re developing, and introduce anything exciting that’s coming up in the future.

Read on to find out more about what we’ve been up to at Ambient in the last few months and what we’ve got in store for the road ahead.

Over the past few months, we’ve featured on several podcasts to discuss some of the financial questions expats face when living in or planning to move to Spain.

Josh recently joined Michelle from Spainly Living for an episode of Spain Wealth Sorted, where they discussed why getting your finances in order should be an important part of preparing for a move to Spain.

Their conversation covered everything from pensions, ISAs, and investments to property sales, estate planning, and Spanish tax residency.

Josh also explained why the timing of certain financial decisions can make such a difference when relocating, and some of the common mistakes people can avoid by planning ahead.

Josh also joined the Perfectly Placed, Living in Spain podcast where he answered all the questions the hosts wish they had known before moving to Spain. The conversation is a must for anyone considering relocating or who is a new arrival!

We hope to feature on more podcasts soon, so we can continue spreading the word about how to ensure your financial life remains smooth when moving abroad.

We’re very pleased to announce that Ambient has been chosen as a financial planning partner by Your Overseas Home (YOH).

YOH guides people through the process of buying property and relocating abroad, bringing together specialists who can provide support with the property, legal, financial, and practical aspects of making a move.

Financial planning can sometimes be overlooked amid the excitement of finding a home in Spain. Yet becoming a Spanish resident can affect how your pensions, savings, and investments are taxed, while the timing of your move can also have important financial implications.

Our work with YOH means people considering a move to Spain can access specialist financial guidance as part of their wider preparations.

We’re delighted to be working with the YOH team and look forward to helping more people make their move to Spain with confidence.

As part of our work with YOH, we’ve also been sharing our expertise through a series of webinars for people considering a move to Spain.

Josh has joined the YOH team for three webinars covering some of the important financial considerations to think about before relocating.

If you missed them live, all three webinars are available to watch online:

We hope these sessions help anyone planning a move understand some of the financial decisions they may need to make, and importantly, why it can pay to start planning before becoming a resident in Spain.

We’re continuing to contribute to Expats in Spain magazine each month, sharing practical financial insights for the international community living in Spain.

Our latest contribution appears in the August edition.

We’re really pleased to continue working with the magazine and to have another opportunity to share useful financial information with people who have made Spain their home.

We hope you’ve enjoyed your latest edition of All About Ambient, and your next update will be coming in a few months.

In the meantime, if you’re planning a move abroad, already living overseas, or simply want to make sure your finances remain structured appropriately for where you live, we’d be very happy to hear from you.
